The original Stumptown location at 4525 SE Division opened in 1999 in a former beauty parlor called Hair Bender, and the house espresso blend still bears that name. This southeast Portland anchor sits in the heart of Richmond, a neighborhood that has grown up around coffee culture the company itself helped define. A pillar of Portland's third-wave origin story, it remains a working roastery and cafe that draws visitors and regulars in equal measure.
