Albina Press has been a cornerstone of Portland's third-wave story since 2004, and the Hawthorne location at 5012 SE Hawthorne Blvd continues that tradition as a bright, airy neighborhood cafe serving Coava coffee in a comfortable, community-first setting. The bar is unpretentious and welcoming, the kind of daily stop that anchors a neighborhood rather than performing for an algorithm. Matt Higgins of Coava and Billy Wilson of Barista both worked at the original Albina Press before founding their own landmark businesses.
