Solberg & Hansen has been roasting coffee since 1879, making it one of the oldest surviving coffee companies in Norway, and the Mathallen concept store at Vulkan 5 is its most visitor-friendly expression. Freshly roasted seasonal lots from the Ryen roastery fill the shelves alongside over 100 teas and a full range of brewing equipment, with trained baristas pulling espresso and guiding tastings on request. The location inside Mathallen food market on the Akerselva riverbank makes it a natural stop on any Oslo food trail.
