Founded in 2013 by Gino Kanashiro Asato and Jessica Tejada Torres at Av. Simon Bolivar 1199 in Pueblo Libre, Origen is credited with training a generation of Lima's best baristas and was the first roastery in the city to build a fully transparent farm-to-cup sourcing model. Beans arrive from Cajamarca, Junin, and Amazonas and are roasted on-site in a glassed room visible from the cafe. The Pueblo Libre location anchors what has become one of Lima's most concentrated specialty coffee corridors.
