Founded in 2018 by Emerson Nascimento, the 2024 Brazilian Barista Champion, Coffee Five operates as both cafe and roastery on Rua da Quitanda in the heart of downtown Rio. Beans arrive directly from small-farm producers in Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo, roasted under the Five Roasters label on site. The compact kiosk format means every cup is made by someone who has competed on the world stage.
