Hidden down a long corridor off Rua Visconde de Piraja in Ipanema, Aussie Coffee was founded by Australian expat Daniel Hobbs and brings the flat white culture of Melbourne to Rio with precision. Beans arrive from both Brazilian farms and selected Australian roasters, giving regulars access to Southern Hemisphere coffees they would struggle to find elsewhere in the city. The all-day brunch menu, including sourdough avocado toast, has made it a local go-to before or after a beach morning.
