Yasunari Sawanoi launched About Us Coffee in Fushimi in 2019 after studying in fashion and training toward specialty coffee, with a palette that favours precision light-roasted Ethiopias. The shop has built a dedicated local following through a carefully curated espresso and filter programme, and Sawanoi won first place at the Tokyo Coffee Collection competition in 2022 with an Ethiopia Niguse Gemeda Mude. Featured in Sprudge's 2024 Kyoto guide, About Us is a four-minute walk from Keihan Fushimi-Inari Station.
