Founded in 1949, Schamong is Cologne's oldest roastery and has occupied the same Ehrenfeld house for three generations. The original Probat drum roaster is still in daily use, and the shop has barely changed since it opened - exposed brick, vintage canisters, and a worn wooden counter that regulars treat as a living room. Both classic dark Italian roasts and modern lighter profiles share the menu.
