Rising Sun at 1c Whateley Street is a communal motorcycle workshop and award-winning restaurant in a Newtown back lane, where owner Daniel Cesarano showcases rotating Australian roasters as espresso and filter on the front bar. The combination of genuine specialty coffee knowledge and a ramen kitchen running in the same space should not work as well as it does. A singular Sydney venue with a fiercely loyal following.
