Nine Lives Coffee Roasters

Nine Lives operates primarily as a roasting and training facility that supplies a number of Penang's best-known cafes, opening to the public on Thursdays. The roastery is a genuine backstage pass into how specialty coffee is produced and evaluated in Penang, and the small public sessions attract baristas, cafe owners, and curious consumers in equal measure. An unusual entry in any cafe list, but an important node in the local coffee ecosystem.
