Founded in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Collin and Carolyn Young as a mobile roasting operation, Motivat now anchors a cafe and roastery on Webster Street in downtown Oakland. Their focus is unique single-origin coffees from around the world, roasted on-site and served with precision at the espresso bar and pour-over station.
