Heilandt opened in 2010 in the heart of the Belgian Quarter and operates one of the most rigorous direct-trade sourcing programs in Germany - all Arabica lots must score at least 83 on the SCA scale and are purchased significantly above Fairtrade floor prices. The flagship roastery-cafe runs a coffee school and has since opened satellite bars in Nippes and the Sülz quarter.
