Master roaster Gilberto runs this cave-like one-man operation where sacks of green beans compete for floor space with the drum roaster - and if you time your visit right, the aroma of roasting drifts out onto the street. Espresso and filter brews draw from an arabica lineup spanning Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic, all roasted in micro-batches on site. El Hombre Pez is the living definition of a roaster-bar.
