Coffee Taiga

In a renovated corner building five minutes from Tsuruhashi Station, Coffee Taiga specialises in dark-roast hand-drip coffee prepared on a Kalita Wave, drawing out enticing aroma and a flavour that the proprietor says improves as the cup cools. Ethiopian, Kenyan, and Indonesian single origins rotate through the small menu alongside a concise selection of sweets. The partial grey mortar facade and floor-to-ceiling windows give the compact space an unexpectedly architectural feel.
