Black Betty is the flagship cafe of Switch Espresso, Christchurch's locally owned roaster, operating since 2011 in a renovated warehouse on Madras Street. The cafe is best known for its BBIV espresso blend and an extensive brew menu covering siphon, aeropress, and pour-over alongside espresso classics. It won the Zest Food Awards Cafe of the Year in 2014 and remains one of the city's most consistently excellent specialty venues.
