Born in 2015 inside the Hackesche Höfe courtyard complex, Ben Rahim weaves North African coffee traditions into Berlin's third-wave framework with distinctive results. Founder Achilles Kallas brought an Arab-influenced perspective to espresso culture that felt genuinely novel in Berlin's scene, from the Turkish coffee preparation to the cardamom-forward menu. The sheltered courtyard setting and carefully curated beans have made it one of Mitte's most distinctive and imitated addresses.
