Backatown Coffee Parlour sits at 301 Basin Street on the historic grounds of old Storyville, opened in 2017 by Jessica and Alonzo Knox as a specialty coffee and full-service brunch destination rooted in the Treme community. The parlour serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch alongside a full espresso and brew menu, making it one of the few specialty coffee destinations in New Orleans where a guest can linger over a proper meal. Its position near the edge of the French Quarter means it draws both neighborhood regulars and visitors who have done their research. The Knoxes built Backatown as a gathering space, and the room reflects that intention in every detail.
