Michael McCrory and Lauren Crabbe opened the original Andytown at 43rd and Lawton in 2014 on a block of shuttered storefronts facing the Pacific fog. Weekend lines formed quickly, built on direct-trade single-origins and the Snowy Plover: sparkling water, espresso, brown sugar, and housemade whipped cream. This Outer Sunset institution now anchors a roasting operation that serves most of the city.
