Variety's Upper East Side outpost at 1269 Lexington Avenue brings a Brooklyn-born specialty roaster to a neighborhood traditionally dominated by grab-and-go chains, offering the same well-sourced espresso and rotating batch brew as the Bushwick mothership. The compact format is suited to the fast-moving UES lifestyle, but the coffee quality holds up to any single-minded specialty bar elsewhere in the city. It remains one of the few genuinely independent specialty options on Lexington above 60th Street.
