Roasting certified-organic specialty coffee since 2009, Torrefaktum is one of Hamburg's most awarded independent roasteries - named roastery of the year by Der Feinschmecker magazine. The Ottensen cafe-roastery on Bahrenfelder Strasse lets visitors watch small-batch production up close. Additional cafes operate in the historic old town with the ZEIT newspaper partnership and in HafenCity.
