Sweetleaf opened in Long Island City in 2008 and began roasting its own coffee in 2014, making it one of Queens' most established specialty operations. The 10-93 Jackson Avenue location sits at the foot of the Pulaski Bridge in a wacky-angled space that has become a landmark for cyclists and creative-industry workers commuting between Brooklyn and Queens. The cafe serves espresso and pour-over alongside a cocktail bar program that activates in the evenings, giving it unusual all-day range for the neighborhood.
