Small Batch Roasting Co. has been roasting ethically sourced beans in a North Melbourne laneway since 2009, sourcing directly from Colombia, Guatemala, Kenya and Ethiopia and building long-term farmer relationships into every single origin. The roastery cellar door is open most days, offering the chance to taste new crop coffees alongside freshly baked pastries in an honest, low-key setting. One of Melbourne's founding voices in direct-trade specialty coffee, still independently operated.
