Opposite Lavington Mall on James Gichuru Road, Pallet Cafe was built with a mission to train and employ members of the deaf community as baristas and front-of-house staff. The cafe serves Kenyan coffee alongside a wide menu of healthy dishes from a lush courtyard setting in one of Nairobi's leafier residential corridors. Notebooks circulate at tables for communication, and the warm community atmosphere draws a loyal mix of remote workers and neighborhood regulars. The Gigiri sister branch on Gigiri Close carries the same concept to the diplomatic district.
