Opened by Jonathan Pak in 2020, Overcast sources its espresso from Empire Street Coffee in Columbia City and builds the rest of its supply chain from minority-owned Pacific Northwest producers, from chai brewed in West Seattle to pastries from Georgetown bakers. The North Capitol Hill location near Metier is unhurried and sincere, with made-to-order crepes setting it apart from the typical cafe menu. An independently minded hidden gem with real community intent.
