Tucked into the Portuguese Quarter near Landungsbrücken, Milch occupies a former 1950s milk-and-deli shop that Nico Ueckermann reopened in 2015 as a specialty cafe with an on-site roasting machine as its centrepiece. Beans come from carefully chosen small German roasteries including Five Elephant (Berlin) and Machhörndl (Nuremberg). Dogs are warmly welcome; laptops are not - this is a social space, not a co-working room.
