One of Copenhagen's longer-standing independent specialty roasters, Kontra has operated from Dag Hammarskjolds Alle 36 in Østerbro since 2005, roasting on site and running an educational retail floor alongside the coffee bar. The focus is on direct relationships with farms and transparent provenance, with both espresso and filter on offer alongside a curated selection of home-brewing equipment. A grounded, craft-focused counter for those who want to learn as much as they drink.
