Located on the first floor at 86A Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi in TTDI, Kissa takes its name from the Japanese word for drinking coffee or tea. The serene, minimalist space with wooden fixtures models itself on traditional Japanese kissaten culture, and the cafe exclusively pours filter coffees from respected Japanese micro-roasters including Maruyama, Nozy Coffee, Fuglen, and Hoshikawa Cafe. It is among the most serious filter-focused cafes in KL and a quiet contrast to louder espresso bars.
