Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam
Petaling Street · Kuala Lumpur
Operating since 1956 and relocated to a larger corner building at 1 Jalan Balai Polis near Petaling Street in 2018, Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam is one of KL's most enduring Hainanese breakfast institutions. Cham, kaya toast, and soft-boiled eggs are still made using traditional stainless-steel sock-filter methods passed down across generations. Just five minutes walk from Petaling Street and two blocks from Pasar Seni MRT, it draws morning queues of locals who have been coming for decades.
