Brendan Mullally opened Elm in Pioneer Square's exposed-brick alley architecture in 2015, and it quickly became Eater Seattle's essential coffee shop for its light-roast precision and spare, considered interior. Under new ownership since mid-2025 with a team including alumni from Narrative Coffee and Gloom Coffee, the shop is reopening with the same address and renewed craft ambition. A Pioneer Square anchor restored.
