Commonplace Coffee has roasted and served direct-trade specialty coffee since 2003, and the Penn Avenue Garfield cafe is one of their most neighborhood-embedded outposts. Expect dialed-in espresso, a rotating single-origin pour-over bar, and a warm, unpretentious room that draws a loyal local crowd. This is the Pittsburgh house-roaster standard against which others are measured.
