Comala Barra de Cafe

Named for the Juan Rulfo novel, Comala is a small and focused espresso bar decorated with lush plants and retro furniture, deliberately forgoing a wide food menu in favour of doing a short list of drinks very well. The espresso is sweet and precisely steamed, making the flat white a standout, and the outdoor greenery gives the tiny space a tropically surreal quality that matches its literary reference. Open daily 9am to 3pm.
