Founded in 1872 by Piedmontese chocolatier Enrico Rivoire on the corner of Piazza della Signoria, Rivoire commands what is arguably the finest cafe terrace in Italy, facing Palazzo Vecchio, the Loggia dei Lanzi, and the Uffizi. The house hot chocolate is made from the same artisan recipe that defined the brand for over 150 years. Prices are high but the setting is without comparison in Florence.
