One of the true pioneers of Ecuadorian specialty coffee, Traviesa has been roasting 100-percent Ecuadorian micro-lots since 2014 on a Diedrich drum visible through a large street-facing window. Owner Felipe Cisneros is a master roaster who also distributes professional equipment brands including Rocket Espresso and Mahlkonig to the regional trade. The food menu leans fresh and seasonal, with house-made soups, tartines and pastries.
