Black Hat roasts its own beans fresh in Hamburg, focusing on high-scoring specialty lots (85+ SCA) from Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Rwanda, roasted slow over 20 minutes in a drum roaster. The Eimsbüttel espresso bar and deli also serves Ukrainian-influenced pastries - Napoleon cake, honey cake, cinnamon babka - alongside Reuben sandwiches. One of the most compelling new specialty addresses in the city.
