Bakoel Koffie Cikini

Pouring beans from Bakoel Koffie
Bakoel Koffie traces its origins to a coffee stall opened by Liauw Tek Siong in the 1870s, making it one of the oldest continuous coffee businesses in Indonesia. The Jl. Cikini Raya flagship occupies a Dutch colonial shophouse steps from the Taman Ismail Marzuki arts centre, and the current fourth-generation owners roast three house blends: Heritage 1969, Brown Cow, and Black Mist, each built around specific Indonesian island origins. The combination of century-deep heritage and genuine roasting craft sets Bakoel apart from any other cafe in the city.
