Opened in 2007, this snug Broughton Street basement is where Scottish specialty coffee began. Artisan Roast roasts daily at their nearby Prestonfield facility, keeping the menu at this original site tight and focused on single-origin espresso and filter. Low lighting, exposed brick and a neighbourhood regulars crowd give it a feeling that is earned rather than designed.
