Abraço at 81 E 7th Street has been a benchmark East Village espresso bar since 2007, when owner Jamie McCormick opened one of Manhattan's first truly craft-focused micro-roasters. The shop is tiny and intentional, built around house-roasted beans, organic pastries that change daily, and an ethos that treats both staff and guests with genuine care. The front patio added after the 2016 move across the street has become one of the neighborhood's most pleasant spots to linger on a mild morning.
